Wholesome, Midwestern living isn’t just a myth. Morgan Quitno Press ranks Nebraska as the sixth “Healthiest State,” the ninth year the state has ranked in the top ten. Greater Omaha also ranks as the fifth "Best City to Have a Baby" according to Fit Pregnancy, and as the 24th "Best Walking City" by Prevention magazine.
When we do access healthcare services, we enjoy costs that are below the national average. Yet, our care is world-class – with 15 hospitals, including the state’s only medical centers and a children’s hospital.
Greater Omaha is home to two academic health-science institutions – Creighton University Medical Center and the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Each is noted for the caliber of the graduates they produce, as well as their groundbreaking biomedical research.
What’s more, Greater Omaha boasts an active and large medical community. Available at hospitals, clinics, offices and other facilities throughout the region, residents are within easy access to the care and attention they need.
Forget the apple From routine health services, to lifesaving treatments, Greater Omaha is just what the doctor ordered. |
