Omaha and Nebraska Rank High in National Rankings

OMAHA AND NEBRASKA RANK HIGH AND OFTEN IN NATIONAL RANKINGS 


The city of Omaha and state of Nebraska have received a lot of national attention lately regarding economic stability, business opportunities, housing affordability, quality of life and the list goes on.

In the third quarter alone, Omaha and Nebraska have been recognized on 14 new or updated national rankings. The 2009 rankings to-date total 43, many of which are in the top ten. Some notable rankings from the third quarter include:

   ·    Omaha is #8 on the list of “America’s 10 Best Undervalued Places to Live” as published in IHS Global Insight’s 2009 Housing Prices in America Report.

  ·     Next Generation Consulting put Omaha as #6 on its “2009 Next Cities – Midsize” list, which includes the top cities for young professionals in the U.S. and Canada.

  ·     Nebraska was ranked #9 on the “Best States for Business” ranking from Forbes.com.

  ·    Inbound Logistics included Omaha in its top 15 “Logistics Hotspots for 2009” article calling it an, “excellent distribution hub.”

  ·   According to the latest income figures from the U.S. Census Bureau released in September, Nebraska posted the seventh-highest growth in real income in the nation.

These rankings and recognition are why Greater Omaha continues to be a hotbed of activity even during challenging economic times. All in a vibrant and thriving community, which makes Omaha #1 for many businesses and professionals.
