Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership

small business services

The majority of businesses throughout Greater Omaha are small businesses. The diversity of industries and employment opportunities provided by small businesses contributes to the economic stability of the region. In fact, nearly 53% of all establishments in Greater Omaha have fewer than five employees, and more than 84% have fewer than 20 employees.

At the Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership, our team of specialists works to guide small business to the wide range of resources available to them throughout our region. Whether it’s providing workforce and research data, educational opportunities or new channels for products and services, we serve as a reliable source of information and assistance.

Additional Small Business Resources
What’s more, we work in concert with the
Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce to ensure these businesses have the tools they need to continue to be successful.

More than 89% of the Chamber’s 3,600 members have 100 or fewer employees. Through their membership in the Chamber, these businesses are able to access a full range of programs and resources that improve:

The Partnership also worked with the Nebraska Business Development Center to publish the Keys to a Successful Business Start-Up (see right), which is an extremely useful small business resource.
