KVC BEHAVIORAL HEALTHCARE, iNC. OPENS NEW NEBRASKA HEADQUARTERS IN OMAHA

Omaha, Neb., Dec. 15, 2009– KVC Behavioral HealthCare, Inc. (KVC), a private, not-for-profit organization that provides services for 25,000 children and families in Kansas, Missouri, Kentucky and West Virginia, today announced it is expanding services into Nebraska. Through its new Nebraska headquarters in Omaha, and offices in southeastern Nebraska, KVC projects that the Nebraska operations will eventually employ about 180 throughout the state. The company’s Nebraska headquarters will be located at 10909 Mill Valley in Omaha.

Sandra Gasca-Gonzalez serves as president of KVC Behavioral HealthCare Nebraska, Inc. “Nebraska is embarking on a journey to upgrade and streamline out-of-home and in-home care for at-risk children and families and improve community safety for youth in the juvenile justice system,” said Gasca-Gonzalez. “KVC continues to play a pioneering role in child welfare reform, and we look forward to partnering with the state of Nebraska.”

KVC will serve 19 counties in southeast and eastern Nebraska, and will have offices in Omaha, Lincoln, Beatrice, Seward and Nebraska City. Children in Nebraska’s child welfare and office of juvenile services systems began transitioning to KVC care Nov. 1 after several months of meetings and negotiations between KVC and the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS).
