American Red Cross Expanding Blood Donor Call Center in Omaha Area |
| Omaha, Neb., May 27, 2010 – Making contact with their donors is the lifeline for American Red Cross so when they wanted to improve efficiencies with its customer contact centers nationally the challenge was to combine the many nationwide facility locations into a few major regional facility locations. The Greater Omaha Economic Development Partnership addressed that challenge by demonstrating to the American Red Cross that Omaha should be one of the major locations. After several visits with multiple company representatives and coordinating, through one of the top call center site selection consultants in the country, the Greater Omaha team made the case that Omaha was the right location. Community and labor information, business incentives and real estate options were just a few areas of assistance provided by the Partnership in the eight-month-long selection process. The quality of the Greater Omaha workforce and having the right real estate solution helped convince the American Red Cross that Greater Omaha was the right choice for their critical regional contact centers.
