Private/Public Partnerships Whether it’s internships pairing students with businesses, cooperative efforts between city leaders and community groups or raising awareness of special needs groups, Greater Omaha is fortunate to have the support of civic, business and government leaders to generate learning opportunities for students of all ages.
One example is the University of Nebraska’s Peter Kiewit Institute (PKI) of Information Science, Technology and Engineering on the south campus of UNO.
PKI’s state-of-the-art classroom and lab facilities, broadband on demand, super computing connectivity, 11 residence halls, and research and technology transfer facility are among the best in the nation. The institute draws top scholars from around the nation and the world.
